Gritty Social Drama | Film Notes
WFS “keep it real” by offering a gritty, northern drama set among the blue-collared labourers in Leeds. This character-driven social drama harvested a bucket load of awards at Sundance for both actors and director. It delves into the dark places of anger and personal torment accompanied by drinking, intimidation and violence. An amazing first feature film by Considine and a gripping cinema experience.
